🚂 The 2023 Lineup: European Classics & Wireless Freedom

2023 was all about honoring iconic European trains and finally giving us wireless control.

  • The Big Tech Win:
  • The Wireless Mobile Station (MS3) was the headline news. No more cables tethering you to the track! Total layout freedom.
  • Steam & Railcars:
  • They dropped some heavy metal, including the massive Czech Class 498.1 "Albatros" steam engine (with cool speed-responsive smoke) and the vintage ET 85/ES 85 battery railcar set.
  • East German Power:
  • The Class 120 "Taigatrommel" got a fresh design, representing that brawny East German freight hauler.

  • Dutch Retro: A classic Series 1100 electric from the Dutch State Railways came back with a modern chassis and a fancy box that looks like a 1964 catalog. “Marvelous reproductions of a Dutch locomotive”, was the way the model of the class 1100 for the Nederlandse Spoorwegen was once presented in 1964. Currently, this class is one of the most popular classics from our company after almost 60 years. Reason enough to celebrate this model in the well-known look with an all-metal body, flathead screws, and very traditional light bulbs.
  • Fun Sets: For a lighter touch, there was the Edelweiss Parlor Car Express (Alpine luxury) and a Circus Busch set with vintage circus vehicles.
  • American Flair: They even brought over GE ES44AC locomotives in Kansas City Southern livery.
